Did You Know...
Every tin of Natural Approach deodorant purchased helps to support local and indigenous communities within Australia and around the world. So thanks to you, these families and communities enjoy a better quality of life. They include:
Women and their families in West Africa
We use beautiful raw, unrefined shea butter from Deluxe Shea Butter Australia who source it from their sister company Deluxe Shea Butter Ghana Ltd. They are:
- Certified Organic by Ecocert for EU Organic under the European Regulation,
- USDA Organic under the National Organic Program and certified Fair Trade by Ecocert under the Fair for Life Program.
The shea butter is produced by women's cooperatives in Gumo-Kumbungu in Tamale, North Africa. In many cases the shea trade is the only source of income for these women and their families.
Remote Coastal Communities in the Solomon Islands
Our coconut oil is sourced from Niulife which is certified organic and fair trade.
"Niulife are a 100% not-for-gloss social enterprise that's serious about erasing poverty and empowering lives in some of the worlds poorest remote coastal communities."
"Everything they do is about people and the lives that they are changing. 100% of the profits from all Niulife products go towards empowering lives, erasing poverty, and bringing hope for local villagers in coastal communities."

Remote Indigenous communities in Western Australia
We source Australian Sandalwood (Indigenous deadwood) from Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils (DSO), in Western Australia. The Dutjahn Custodians are 50% stakeholders in the distillery.
Profits from the oil distillation business will generate much needed work and funding to remote Indigenous communities and will allow them to invest in community projects which will generate employment.

Local Beekeepers in Queensland
Our gorgeous organic beeswax is sourced from Hampson Honey. A family business located in Queensland, who take great pride and care for their bees. We love supporting and helping their business grow.

Australian Essential Oil Farmers in New South Wales
We also love sourcing our essential oils from Essentially Australia - a 'green' business that operates two unique plantations in the hinterland of Byron Bay, and that specialise only in pure Australian essential oils. They also support a small range of passionate and committed essential oil farmers and harvesters in other parts of Australia.
